Job Description

We seek a skilled and dedicated High Volume Restaurant Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment and will be able to deliver high-quality food consistently. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking various dishes, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.

Special Qualifications, Education, or Licenses:

  • Must be fully familiar with high-volume restaurant orders.
  • Must be able to use a knife, slicing machine, and grater.
  • High school/culinary classes/diploma preferred.
  • At least three to five years of experience in a comparable operation.
  • Must have Food Handler certificate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook various dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards. Ensure all food items are cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively. Work efficiently to manage multiple orders simultaneously during peak hours.
  • Kitchen Organization and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and food items. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks and restocking as needed. Notify management of any shortages or issues with ingredients.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality service. Communicate effectively with servers and other team members to coordinate orders.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen. Report any kitchen equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
