We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team in the preparation of food items for service in a high volume restaurant. You will be responsible for:

• Organizing and prioritizing preparation of food items.
• Preparing food according to standardized recipes.
• Ensuring proper size and weight of food portions.
• Coordinating food preparation with other kitchen staff.
• Maintaining line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift.
• Following standard recipes regarding presentation of food items.
• Preparing plate presentation pursuant to standard recipes.
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and walk-in cooler.
• Ensuring that kitchen area remains clean and free of hazards during shift.
• Keeping floor clean and free of food items, trash, or other obstacles.
• Maintaining House of Blues safety and sanitation standards.
• Preparing kitchen equipment and setting up station for shift.
• Ensuring proper rotation of all food items, including the lifting/moving of food bins weighing up to 180 lbs.
• Performing all opening and closing duties.
• Adhering to sanitation and safety compliance.
• Exhibiting a positive attitude and teamwork.
• Assisting other kitchen staff as needed.

The working environment is fast-paced and requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 150 lbs.
