Cook - Wasatch Peaks Ranch

Wasatch Peaks Ranch is developing a new, private mountain resort community in the Wasatch Mountains, 30 minutes north of Salt Lake City. This multi-billion-dollar project encompasses 12,000 acres, including 3,000 acres of private ski terrain, a Tom Fazio-designed private golf course, and 460 private homes and homesites being developed over 10-15 years. This project will offer the most exclusive skiing, golf, and amenities in a private club setting in the United States.

Are you passionate about cooking and excited by the prospect of a ski resort environment? We are seeking an enthusiastic Cook to join our culinary team and contribute to exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of food items (appetizers, entrees, desserts) according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks (chopping, slicing, mixing ingredients, plating).
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning equipment, wiping surfaces, and restocking supplies.
  • Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff for efficient operations and a positive team atmosphere.
  • Assist with inventory management and food ordering to ensure ingredient availability and proper storage.
  • Develop culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs (knife techniques, cooking methods, menu knowledge).
  • Contribute to menu development and testing of new dishes.
  • Assist with food preparation for special events and banquets.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous food service experience preferred, but not required
  • Passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
