Restaurant Cook

Prepare, cook, and present food orders according to company standards and timeframes. Adhere to brand guidelines and recipe specifications during food preparation.

• Follow established prepping procedures, using the prep chart, and properly store/rotate perishable items.
• Maintain correct food temperatures in accordance with Denny's Brand Standards, and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Prepare special orders as requested.
• Organize and maintain work areas, coolers, and storage areas.
• Assist with product inventory and deliveries as needed.
• Complete assigned prep work.
• Clean, sanitize, and organize the work area.
• Assist service staff periodically.
• Adhere to all safe food handling principles.

Accountabilities: Customer orders are prepared following company specifications, safe food handling procedures, and time standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible and reliable team player.
• Must have sufficient mobility to move and/or operate within the work area.
• Able to observe and ensure product is prepared and presented to company requirements.
• Possess basic math skills, including understanding of units of measure.
• Meet all state, county, or municipal regulations pertaining to food handling health risks.
• Prefer at least 2 years of work experience or a combination of experience and culinary schooling.
