Seasonal Cooks at Wasatch Peaks Ranch

Wasatch Peaks Ranch is developing a new private mountain resort community in the Wasatch Mountains, 30 minutes north of Salt Lake City. This 12,000-acre development includes 3,000 acres of private ski terrain, a Tom Fazio-designed golf course, and 460 private homes and homesites. This multi-billion-dollar project will offer an exclusive array of skiing, golf, and other amenities in a private club setting.

We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic Cooks to join our culinary team and create delicious dining experiences for our guests in this exciting ski resort environment.

  • Prepare and cook a variety of food items (appetizers, entrees, desserts) following established recipes and standards.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, mixing ingredients, and plating dishes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including cleaning equipment, wiping down surfaces, and restocking supplies.
  • Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety and prevent accidents.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and a positive team atmosphere.
  • Assist with inventory management and food ordering to ensure all necessary ingredients are available and properly stored.
  • Learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs, including knife techniques, cooking methods, and menu knowledge.
  • Contribute to menu development and testing of new dishes.
  • Assist with food preparation for special events and banquets.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous food service experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
