In this role, you will be responsible for providing properly cooked and presented food in any outlet, commissary, or banquet production. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring a safe atmosphere for guests and employee partners by following safety precautions and procedures.
  • Preparing all food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications to ensure product consistency.
  • Inspects, selects, and uses only high-quality food items for menu preparation.
  • Maintaining proper storage and monitoring of food items to ensure quality.
  • Keeping refrigeration equipment and working areas clean and compliant with health regulations.
  • Preparing daily requisitions for supplies and food items.
  • Reading and applying math skills to follow recipes.
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and in working condition.
  • Demonstrating basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen operations.
  • Communicating effectively in English for various kitchen tasks.

The work environment includes the interior of the hotel, restaurant, and kitchen areas, with exposure to humidity, steam, and extreme temperatures, as well as food and beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.

Qualifications for this role include previous culinary experience in a commercial kitchen for Cook 1 & 2 positions, while experience is helpful but not required for Cook 3 positions. An unexpired certification in ServSafe is required.
