As a Chef, you will oversee daily operations of the kitchen and ensure the highest quality food products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Directly supervising and training kitchen personnel on all related culinary activities.
  • Overseeing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for quality assurance of meal presentation and portion control.
  • Selecting recipes, preparing, and coordinating all meals.
  • Creating new dishes and developing recipes, standardizing recipes to ensure consistent quality.
  • Establishing presentation techniques and quality standards.
  • Planning, modifying, and developing menus.
  • Performing pre-meal meetings with food servers to review details of the daily menu.
  • Estimating food consumption and requisitioning food purchases.
  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory.
  • Assisting in the adherence to maintaining budget compliance for daily food costs.
  • Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food preparation according to state and local health department code requirements.

Salary Range Information: $55,320 - $70,470 / year
