Job Description

Looking to add a member to our kitchen team. We are a small staff, serving an 8-12 course ambitious seafood tasting menu 5 nights a week. Our focus is sustainability, which isn't just limited to sourcing but the culture in our restaurant. Our kitchen team is an integral part of the service every evening, presenting dishes and describing the food to our guests. The pay is an hourly rate depending on experience as well as a portion of the service charge. Passion is more important than a resume for us here. Fine dining experience is not necessary; we are committed to being teachers and will work with you to learn how to execute the Reverie menu.

Requirements

  • Culinary Oversight
  • Working as part of a team to ensure that all tasks are completed in order of priority, and in the allotted time frame.
  • Ensuring that all staff have a safe and pleasant work environment at all times.
  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Ensuring that all food produced is equal to or above the minimum set standards.
  • Ensuring astute portion control, wastage control and adhering to par levels in their department.
  • Maintaining superior personal hygiene practices at all times.
  • Kitchen Standards
  • Has an attitude of continuous improvement; contributes new ways to create efficiencies or work more effectively either individually or as a team member.
  • Communicates any food or people-related issues to the Sous Chef or Chef De Cuisine in a timely manner.
  • Has a positive, professional attitude; always on time and focused on the job they need to do.
  • Open to feedback to help improve and learn new skills.
