Job Description

The Suncadia Culinary team is looking for a growing culinarian with solid cooking experience to join the team as a Cook 2. With a passion for food and a high attention-to-detail, you'll support the culinary leadership in preparing food and orders in accordance with restaurant standards. Salary: $23.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with executive chef or supervisor daily about operations.
  • Assist with ordering and maintaining par levels.
  • Maintain and stock the set-up of the line.
  • Prepare food according to restaurant quality standards.
  • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation.
  • Maintain professional guest relations.
  • Set up, restock, maintain, and clean food preparation line.
  • Prepare food as ordered and according to Suncadia standards.
  • Coordinate all orders between stations and food service personnel.
  • Monitor food quality and rotation.
  • Assist with other stations as directed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Maintain resort kitchen equipment.
  • Prepare food in accordance with pre-established preparation times.
  • Prepare food in accordance with working menus, recipe cards, and photograph standards.
  • Display understanding of sanitary food handling techniques.
  • Display knowledge of safe operation of kitchen equipment.
  • Display understanding of Suncadia appearance standards.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor, including cross training.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years previous food preparation experience.
  • Basic Knife Skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Able to communicate well with staff and customers.
  • Active Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to read and communicate through written menu requirements.
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work well with others and function well in a fast-paced environment.
