Job Description

We are looking for a Cook to assist in the preparation and service of meals at our facility. This position reports to the Food Services Supervisor and is part of the Food Services department.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing well-balanced, nutritious meals to ensure students and staff remain healthy.
  • Collaborating with the food service manager to prepare three meals per day, with two meals on weekends and holidays.
  • Planning and preparing meals using a minimum of a 28-day cycle cafeteria menu.
  • Complying with HACCP procedures as directed by the food services supervisor.
  • Providing meal service for work-based learning and off-center activities.
  • Ensuring food options meet the dietary needs of a diverse population.
  • Supervising and instructing students assigned to duties in the dining hall/kitchen.
  • Maintaining sanitation and safety practices in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Providing quality customer service to students and staff utilizing food services.
  • Completing the cafeteria lock-up checklist and ensuring security in the area.
  • Participating in PRH mandated staff training.

The physical demands of this position require regular sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
