The position title is Cook I within the Food & Beverage business unit, reporting to the Lead Cook and Outlet Chef, with a pay range of $21 - $23.

This position is not housing eligible, and the candidate must ski/snowboard at an intermediate level.

Cook I is responsible for BOH operations of a specific outlet within Crystal Mountain Resort Culinary Operations. Responsibilities include following recipes, chef guidance on stations, Standard Operating Procedures, and all safety regulations. You will be responsible for the overall cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of your specific station, the kitchen, and for the delivery of high quality and properly served food & beverage products.

Essential Job Functions for Cook I include:

  • Basic knife skills.
  • Ability to follow recipes.
  • Understanding of food sanitation, FIFO, and food storage.
  • Willingness to learn and receive training to develop technique.

Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years experience in kitchen operations.
  • Ability to obtain WA Food Safety Card within 3 Days of hiring.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Some culinary outlets require Intermediate Skiing/Snowboarding ability in winter season.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to learn and develop as a culinary professional.

This position requires the ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis. You will need to be able to work for extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis and also standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, and pulling on an occasional basis. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
