Job Description

Join our team at McMenamins as a Line Cook. In this role, you will handle every task from the opening to the closing of the kitchen. Your duties will include the manufacture and presentation of all hot and cold food products, which may include salads, sandwiches, pastas, appetizers, pizzas, and weekly specials.

As a line cook, you will be responsible for the organization and cleaning of your work area. This position requires hard physical work, mental agility, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. You will be expected to work both independently and as a member of a team.

To succeed in this role, you must obtain and maintain a current food handlers card. You should also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and focused in high-volume situations.

Key essential functions include:

  • Producing excellent quality food for customers.
  • Safely lifting and carrying heavy objects with assistance if necessary.
  • Following strict adherence to deadlines and product quality.
  • Working for long periods on your feet with frequent walking and standing.
  • Performing repetitive movements and fine hand manipulation.
  • Communicating clearly and positively with co-workers and customers.

Most importantly, you should bring a positive attitude, a value for diversity, and a commitment to excellent customer service. You must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
