Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This is a full-time position that includes one weekend day, with a pay range of $20-$24/hour.

If you are passionate about food and believe that creating food is both a science and an art, this might be the opportunity for you. You will work closely with our culinarians to implement the food and beverage program for our residents, specializing in assisted living and memory care. Your role will be crucial in providing a culinary experience that engages all five senses in pleasant ways to nourish both the body and the soul.

The successful candidate will be motivated by service, organized, detail-oriented, and possess a positive, self-motivated attitude. You must have good communication skills and be willing to work hard. This role is ideal for chefs with a passion for food creation who are looking for a new industry with an exciting career path. We support internal promotions and evaluate candidates based on their unique skill sets and professional experience. The following qualifications are necessary:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • A combination of education and experience that supports Sous Chef status.
  • Current negative TB test.
  • Knowledgeable in regulatory standards for the kitchen.
  • Willingness to learn about healthcare/assisted living environments.
  • ServeSafe certified or able to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to pass a criminal record/background check.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work well independently with little oversight.
