Pay: $5 per hour plus tips

Start Date: Mid-December with positions available throughout the season.

Seasonal: This position is available from Mid-November to Late March, aligning with our winter ski and summer bike seasons. Seasonal work involves temporary employment tied to specific times of the year.

Schedule: May require working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Responsibilities:

Join us for as a Prep Cook for our Activities department! This position is responsible for providing a supportive role to kitchen staff in the preparation of meals and ingredients. Their duties include:

• Completing tasks on the supervisor's prep list in order.
• Labeling and stocking ingredients on accessible shelves.
• Washing, chopping, and sorting fruits, vegetables, meats, and dry supplies.
• Measuring and preparing ingredients for recipes.
• Parboiling food, reducing sauces, proofing dough, and starting various dishes.
• Preparing and delivering guest orders, including "to go" items, with speed and accuracy.
• Using kitchen equipment safely, following nutrition and sanitation standards.
• Communicating professionally with associates and clients per company standards.
• Responding to supervisor requests for various tasks, including dishwashing and sanitizing.
• Reporting spoilage or shortages immediately.
• Maintaining walk-in coolers per standards and refrigerating perishable foods properly.
• Cleaning workstation and following up with supervisor for closing instructions.
• Embracing Alterra Mountain Company culture and core values through training and active participation.
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous related experience preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and pay strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with basics of cooking.
• Knowledge of proper food safety when prepping ingredients.
• Ability to communicate professionally with associates and clients.
