Job Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items meticulously following Applebee's recipes, specifications, and presentation guidelines (50%).
• Efficiently complete all assigned prep work (15%).
• Set up and maintain your workstation according to the provided station diagrams (15%).
• Strictly adhere to all sanitary and safe food handling procedures at all times (10%).
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize your work area before, during, and after each shift (5%).
• Contribute to daily and weekly cleaning projects as assigned (5%).
• As a member of the Kitchen Team, you will participate in and receive cross-training for all kitchen roles.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Ability to place plates, utensils, pans, and cases on high and low shelves.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using knives, slicing equipment, and other food preparation tools.
• Excellent mobility throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to lift and carry cases weighing up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations, prioritizing the safety of self and others.

Physical Demands

This position requires physical stamina. You will be expected to:

• Navigate throughout the restaurant, interacting with guests.
• Regularly move and grasp items weighing up to five pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Bend and stoop frequently.
• Maintain excellent vision for cleanliness and touchscreen operation.
