Job Description

We have an exciting new vacancy for a Sous Chef to join our team at The Basingstoke Country Hotel. The Basingstoke Country Hotel is a 100 bedroom-hotel that boasts a stylish Brasserie, offering casual dining and food for the whole family. The Hotel has 5 conference rooms catering for between 25 to 240 delegates providing for various events and wedding functions.

This magnificent manor, set within a historic estate dating back to the 11th century, features 265 bedrooms and is conveniently located next to Glasgow Prestwick Airport. It’s easily accessible from nearby towns such as Kilmarnock, Prestwick, and Ayr by both car and public transport.

Your Duties Will Include:

  • Being directly involved in preparing, presenting, and producing meals to the highest standards.
  • Assisting in menu planning for our restaurant and event facilities.
  • Encouraging and developing your team members.
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Managing food deliveries and stock control.
  • Demonstrating creativity and innovation in your work.

The successful candidate will have experience in working in a hotel kitchen with strong communication skills, a keen superb attention to detail, and take pride in their work.
