Job Summary

TravelCenters of America provides a convenient, one-stop shopping experience for our customers. Each location boasts a variety of dining options, ensuring our guests find exactly what they're looking for. As a Cook, you'll play a critical role on our restaurant team, preparing and presenting high-quality food to guests, helping us return every traveler to the road better than they came!

  • Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on excellent customer service.
  • Perform prep cook tasks, including washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
  • Perform grill cook tasks, such as setting up broilers, fryers, and grills according to line check sheets.
  • Prepare all products to guest specifications and follow plate presentation guidelines.
  • Complete prep, freezer pull, and temperature checklist sheets.
  • Practice safe food handling, storage, and waste control procedures.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
  • Maintain equipment according to operating standards.
  • Prioritize work based on restaurant and guest needs.
  • Build strong communication and rapport with leaders and coworkers.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A dedicated individual who works well with others and is eager to contribute to our team.
  • Previous food service experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Pay Range

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
